Lake Tahoe Vacation Rental Requirements

We require that all of our Lake Tahoe vacation rentals owners provide the items and amenities listed below, as they are very important to the successful rental of your vacation home. Having all the items below available will ensure that guests have a great stay, which in turn boosts repeat visitors and positive reviews. We also require that these items be kept in good, working order, and are replaced when they start to show any signs of wear and tear.

  

Bedrooms:

• Washable duvet comforter with down comforter insert
• Bed sheets – two sets per bed
• Mattress pad on every bed
• Two pillows per person, per bed
• One additional pillow per bed in the closet
• Hangers in closet
• A portable fan or ceiling fan in each bedroom

Bathrooms:

• Two towels per every person the home sleeps. If the home sleeps 10 people, there should be 20 towels: 10 hand
towels and 10 wash clothes.
• Extra beach and/or hot tub towels
• Plunger
• One hair dryer in each full bath
• Hand soap with pump dispenser
• Toilet brush
• Waste basket with liners
• Iron and ironing board

Living Space:

• TV with cable / DVD player
• Fireplace tools and ash can for disposal
• Stereo or speaker system with bluetooth or docking station
• Furnishings to be adequate for the maximum number of guests able to stay in the home

Kitchen:

• Complete set of silverware
• Full set of dishes
• Mixing bowls
• Coffee maker
• Toaster and microwave
• Pots and pans with matching lids
• Serving and cooking utensils
• Colander
• Dish towels and pot holders/hot pads
• Salt and pepper shakers

Cleaning Supplies/Supplies for Guests:

• Toilet paper (four rolls per bathroom)
• Paper towels (two rolls per reservation)
• Kitchen sponges
• Dish soap
• Dishwasher soap
• Laundry detergent and softener
• Multi-purpose cleaner for floors, windows, appliances and countertops
• Garbage bags
• Broom and dust pan
• Vacuum with extra bags
• Extra light bulbs and batteries

Exterior Supplies:

• BBQ – gas with tools for year-round use, with cover
• Propane for BBQ
• Highly visible street numbers posted outside (to help guests locate your home)
• Metal bear bin and garbage cans
• Snow shovels and ice melt
• Firewood (if applicable)
• Adequate exterior lighting
• Scheduled snow removal
• If applicable: hot tub chemicals and supplies plus clearly posted directions for use


Safety Precautions / Power Outage Kit:

• Functioning smoke detectors, CO2 detectors, and fire extinguishers
• Telephone with number displayed if cell phone service is unavailable
• First-aid kit
• Space heater
• Flashlights with correct batteries
• Emergency candles and matches
• Playing cards and non-electronic entertainment
